The month of February

This is generally a month that most people don’t really think about. It has less days than every other month, it’s still normally bitterly cold and Spring is just round the corner, but not quite here.

In the Mistry household, this is actually the month of my birthday. It was a few days ago! 🙂

I love February, but not just because it’s pressie time etc, but because I know that literally just round the corner is the warm weather I have been waiting for for months. It’s nearly almost Spring. 🙂

Anyway. The birthday dawned lovely and bright and very warm for a day in Feb. I woke up to a lovely cup of tea, then present opening and a lot of chilling and DVD watching and even a long walk along the canal with Flynn!
On the gifts front:

From the girls:

A spinning book from Diane and a lovely scarf and some gorgeous yarn from Kate

I love it! It’s so snuggly and warm. The book is great. I can not believe how amazing some the of the pictures are in there and the colours. Wow! Definitely one to curl up with on the sofa with a cup of tea.

Mum and Dad didn’t send anything in the post, but have some money put aside for the next time I visit! Yay! 🙂

These are a few of the piccies from the lovely days we’ve had this weekend just gone:

So all in all, I think Feb is a fab month. Have fun! 🙂

Oh and hemlock is finished, I just need to block it, so piccies of that soon.

  1. Oh! ** Happy Birthday **, if belatedly! (that’s a very lovely looking Lazy Kate BTW). I seem to know loads of February birthday people, and I get a real one this year, being born on the 29th…;)

It’s very spring like here too, foggy early on but then really great sunshine when it’s lifted, I even went down to the river and fed the ducks last Friday 🙂

  2. The scarf is beautiful! I really need to learn how to spin. It looks like so much fun…and happy belated birthday…birthdays and presents (especially knitting related presents) are seriously the best thing ever.

  3. Happy Belated Birthday! What lovely pressies. What pattern is Kate’s scarf? It’s really gorgeous. And I can’t wait to hear more about the book….sounds like a fun read. 🙂
