Apple Blossom Stole

IMG_0557.JPGIMG_0559.JPG

With the end of winter comes the beginning of spring. My most treasured memories of spring are of blossoming apple trees in the school playground, informing us that summer is just round the corner and the apples will be plentiful! This stole reminds me of lying beneath the trees and seeing the sunlight filter through the leaves and blossom, viewed through half-closed eyes.

Armenius Men’s Jumper

IMG_0570.JPGFrontHappinessKnot.jpg

Armenius, aka Herman the German, beat the Romans on a battleground in the very village that we live in. So my inspiration for this jumper was a mix of this regions heritage and the Germanic knot-work that we know about and has been published in many books. I’ve used the Happiness Knot for the front of this jumper and I decided that the two sleeves should have the Bjaars Hitches patterns that mirror each other.

Candle Flame Stockings

FrontRight.jpgCandleFlamePattern.jpg

Romance, sensuality, candlelight, champagne and love: these are all the words that come to mind when you see these stockings. Knee-highs that make you feel sexy, with ribbons that add that final touch. A woman’s legs are things of beauty that should be showcased in stockings made just for this purpose.

Cockshell Camisole

CockleshellFront.jpgCockleshellLaceDetail.jpg

With summer approaching and the call of the beach, what better way to celebrate than to create the patterns in your knitting. I remember collecting shells from the beach and playing in the tides and when we got home, arranging the shells on my windowsill and remembering the fun time we had. This camisole is a remembrance of the collected shells and the patterns left in the sand from the tides.

Summer Tabi Anklets

Tabi SocksTabi Socks

I love Summer; it has to be my favourite season. I love the feel of the sun on my skin, being able to walk on the grass bare foot, eating ice cream and drinking tea outside and I love the fact that I can sit under the oak tree and let it’s leafy canopy shade me when the sun is at its peak. Another thing I love about Summer is that I can wear flip-flops with everything. I have noticed though that I need to pull on some socks as the evening progresses, but big thick wool socks are really not all that flattering with a pair of shorts or a short skirt. And you can’t really wear socks with flip-flops! The solution? Tabi anklets of course! Here is my version of these Japanese invention.

Stark

StarkStark

You can never have enough hats to warm your noggin. Especially in this house. As I’m running out of the door, it’s absolutely essential that I grab a hat from the hat/scarves/gloves box. This particular hat came about because my partner is constantly losing his hats! A lovely unisex design that will suit any one, with a very simple and memorable stitch. Nice and Easy and extremely warm! Enjoy!
